The Code Project Extension - Creating a Template Item
For members of The Code Project, there is a need to inject frequently used messages, answers, and snippets into the article and questions forum forms on the website. The extension provides the ability to create a template item that can be used in the article and questions forum forms. This item can be stored in the Code Project local storage (Templates) and shared between users. When adding the template to the article or questions forum form, they can use the share button to send it to the user. This allows them to share frequently used text with others.
The extension supports the templates as a Google Chrome Extension. It provides users the ability to create the templates in their local storage or in a separate folder on their computer. The templates are displayed in a list when a user clicks the menu item in the browser menu. The user can select an item and then the share button to send it to a user or the forum form.
